SASSA Payment dates for September 2024 have been announced by the South African Social Security Agency. Payment schedules vary based on the type of grant (e.g., Child Support Grant, Old Age Pension, Disability Grant) and may be subject to change.
The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) pays grants to approximately 18 million South Africans every month. The grant payment agency has confirmed the payment dates for June 2024.
Sassa distributes several different permanent grants aimed at assisting financially vulnerable people living in South Africa. They include the Older Persons pension grant, Disability grant, War Veterans grant, Care Dependency grant, Foster Child grant, Child Support grant, Child Support grant Top-Up and Grant-in-aid.

Sassa has confirmed that social grant payments are made from the second working day of each month. Sassa payment dates will however not be held on public holidays or weekends.

- Older Persons Grants: Tuesday 3 September 2024.
- Disability Grants: Wednesday 4 September 2024.
- Children’s Grants: Thursday 5 September 2024.

Sassa beneficiaries can choose to have their Sassa grant be paid directly to their bank account.
Sassa Grant beneficiaries can also collect their Sassa social grants at several payment points. These payment points include ATMs and retail stores such as Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite and Boxer.
